Get Paul to make one for you...

That is an option and if I don't find a roof cut in the next month or so, I will give him a buzz.

You could probably get that roof to you for less than $300 postage if your not in a hurry.

usatoaus.com

Thanks for this.  I just sent them an email.  Will update on the outcome.

Well usatoaus.com replied.......

Price is $275 shipped, which is very reasonable, but it is from there depot in the USA to Melbourne (or Sydney).

So, I have to pay for postage from the seller's house to depot (let's say $100 ground shipping), $275 from depot to Melbourne, $50 landing fee in Melbourne, then $100 shipping from Melbourne to Adelaide.  Item is only $90.

It would take 2-3 months all up and 3 lots of shipping and way too many headaches.  Total price landed in Adelaide is $615 which is reasonable, but not worth it.

If the guy next door wanted to sell me a roof for $600, I would do it, but not through process above.

Roberto the cheapest way for you to do this is

get a 2+2 roof, cut it so it sits on you roof opening

get inside car and mark the hole out on the 2+2 roof

cut it to the size.

get someone to butt weld it in preferably with an oxy.

Then a bit of dent knocking and bog. jobs done.

I would metal finish it but 3mm of fill in spots will be fine

The 2+2 roof is different i hear you say,

Yes but the middle is the same or close enough.

Yes i can make you up a roof but it will be more expensive than this.

You need to decide how much you want to spend on fixing you sunroof

and do whatever fits into your budget

cheers

Paul

Does Dale have one? User name dalee

PM sent Dale.....

I'm happy to grab the roof from the depot in Melbourne and forward it to you the rest of the way if that makes it any easier.

Thanks Alex, that is very kind to offer this for me.  I will keep this in mind if I go this route.  Cheers ;)

Wow, I didn't realize this could be done this way.  Since 2+2 roof's are easy to find, I may choose to do this.

How cheap does that 2 seater shell look that Locky was selling now  :-\

Yes, it was cheap for a complete shell, but i didn't want to be the one to rape and pillage it for it's roof.  The car was too good to destroy.  ???

Seek and you shall find !!

I have found a great 2-seater roof in God's Country (Ballarat)...... Thanks Dale!

Greg and Johnny, no need for the 2+2 roof, but thanks very much for the kind offer.

Captain Mick will be waving his magic wand with this one.
