Honestly haven't touched it. When I bought it I was in the middle of a expensive upgrade on my track toy. Have since blown up my track toy so funds are tighter. Car doesn't run, think its a issue with the elctronic maf. Motor starts but then dies after cold enrichment. Needs to be trailered.

I thought id bump this thread back up as ive started looking into buying 260z 2+2 in repairable/project condition.

only looking for something in the $2000 mark at the moment and as close to South-West Queensland as possible would be good.

Im only dabbling at the moment but if the right offer comes up ill consider.

Hi Hardcore - I've got a 280zx with an excellent injected motor going cheap - a little rust but manageable - email me at gary@dwcs.com.au - I'm in Brisbane.

You've had what 8 or 10 thrown at you, have ypu managed to get to look at any in the flesh?
Stipulating sth west qld, what town are you in? Maybe some of us have spotted a good one close to you?
None of them will be perfect for the money, but whatever ypu get will be sure to be a project. The plus 2's are more plentifull at least.
I just race old datsuns:
Group S Historic 280Z ( not a zx but a USA 280z)
Group O/T Historic Datsun Sports 2000
Group G Datsun 120y  with FJ24 fitted( ex G. Fury)

sorry guys i havent been on this forum for a while as i picked up a VJ Val ute but then because i rushed it i ended up by a dud and sold it for half what i paid and been a put off by older cars although i still like my old school Zs.

I live in Roma 6hrs from Brisbane, 4 from Toowoomba. I havent looked at any in the flesh as i find it hard to organise a trip any where... money wise ill wait a week or 2 (if i dont buy something else) and look at my account but if im gonna go old school im willing to spend more to get something with less work panel/engine wise and build on it from there...

again im sorry that i never contacted anyone.
