WTB: Project 260z 2+2
« on: September 12, 2011, 06:19:07 AM »
Hey I'm looking for a 260z 2+2 that is in need of repair or even a rolling shell with atleast the dash.

Prefer if you are in QLD but if your in other states and can meet half way I should be able organize something.

only looking to spend up to $1600 to buy so you can probably tell im not after anything in a super flash condition but little or no rust would be a definite help!

thanks!

$2000 would get you a 260z 2+2. this one is near you. Normally you would pay about 4-5k for what you want. there is a cheap one in Victory at the moment but will cost approx $800 to transport it up here.

Yea most I've seen are over 3.5k and a 2+2 doesn't matter.

Thanks for the link.

I've got a 1977 260 2+2 project I'm trying to rid myself of. Very straight, prev owner has done all the rust work. Rolling shell without motor/gearbox. It is in Adelaide though. Let me know if you're interested.

I got a call yesterday, young bloke here in Brisbane, has exactly what you ate after, a complete car, 260  2plus, engine sort of runs, may need a bit of a tune, has had major rust removed, still needs  minor body work.
He needs to move this on, as his current rental place is finishing, and he has nowhere to take it too
He as chasing $1500 but I reckon that's negotiable
Pm me for details and his contact numbers
I just race old datsuns:
Group S Historic 280Z ( not a zx but a USA 280z)
Group O/T Historic Datsun Sports 2000
Group G Datsun 120y  with FJ24 fitted( ex G. Fury)
Marque Sports Datsun Fairlady 1966 -SR20DET

Well I may of just foynd a 260z 2+2 that looks reasonably complete but it doesn't have a engine/gearbox and has got what looks like surface rust in a few spots... But can't expect alot for $1200

http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,8218.0.html

With my little girls arrival and her naming (Shelby) I don't think this car will turn into my idea of a street registered LS1. $1000.
Car is at Blayney near Bathurst. And to sweeten a little I could take it half way to Qld. Say Moree or Coffs

thanks for the offer, ill keep it in mind as im currently looking at a 260z 2+2 (if i can ever get in contact with the owner again!) and for $1000 im sure it wont last long! Also the distance is a bit of a bother (already finding it hard enough for anyone to go for a 9hr trip for this other Z).

oh and has much changed since you bought it?

Thanks.
