Yes it seems we will have very similar cars both in Melb too. Mine will be painted Kubota orange (tractor colour) with gloss black flares, bumpers and rear spoiler with black rota's. Can't change my mind now as I've already bought all the paint haha. ;D

Just a quick question Saxon, what mirror is that you have on your drivers side? Is that just a generic bullet mirror?.i like the look of it.

Nice. Will look good man. The mirror is stock I believe. I have celica fender mirrors coming and they'll go on soon.

The car that's inspired me colour wise is this one:

Yeah i want the Celica Mirrors aswell ever since i saw the ones Freddy (Topstage) put on his car, but i think i will go with door mirrors for visibility. Unfortunately i can't seem to find the stock mirrors for both sides, only Drivers side ::)

Here's the Orange i bought for my 240.  Kubota/Chev Orange. Solid with no metallic or pearls etc.

And this is what inspired me 8)

Yeah that's a damn cool car. Love those wheels. Would look even better with a black rear spoiler I think. Nice colour.

Yesterday I went to Lurch's to get my passenger side s2000 seat put in. To get it in he had to hammer in the transmition tunnel and raise the rear by about 20mm. Lurch's head touches the roof when he sits in it but I don't know many people the size of Lurch so I don't think it'll be an issue.

I'm very happy we got it in :D

yeah I know, bought them off ebay with minimal photos and the sellers word they were in great condition. Learned a lesson there. I'll touch them up some time.

One thing from ebay is one man's "Great" is another man's "Poor to average" at best. Inspections go a long way..

Should be able to get the leather rejuvenated provided they are not ripped and it's just colour damage / cracks. If you bought them on eBay and they were not as described couldn't you challenge that? Or not worth the hassle I'm guessing?

Think they look good in a Z. Let's see some outside shots and from behind?

Yeah not worth the hassle. They were from qld so to send them back would have been a pain in the ass. I think the wear on them is fixable, worst thing is there is a plastic piece missing on the back of the passenger head rest. Lesson learned. Still happy with them though. Lurch did a great job!

Hi all,

Just an update of what I've been doing with the interior. I put in my new steering wheel, console, and re-skinned dash over the weekend. The interior is almost finished now, I am waiting for the doorcards to come back from an upholsterer, and I need to put in my revolution speedo and tach. I'm going away soon for a few months so I'm leaving that until I get back.

Here's a full list of interior stuff I've done:

s2k seats - thanks to Lurch for fitting a square peg into a round hole on this one
steering wheel - from MSA
shift nob - eBay
new centre console - eBay
reskinned dash
speedhut gauge faces - for the 3 centre pods
speedhut revolution speedo and tacho
new shift and brake boots
new carpet
oem scuff plates
Re-upholstered door cards - in progress
