OK Guys,
I haven't posted an update for a long time and with lack of time these days due to work + uni (+ family (mum's) bs), I find myself only logging into these forums to post required parts in the WANTED section or just attempting to giving shiver to Lurch (Whom in actuality I really love, he's like my Z mentor) even though I haven't really seen him for a while face to face etc etc.
So, back onto subject.
My 260Z 2+2 had just gotten a miracle of a body job from Miracle panel beaters at Albert Street, Preston. 110% No more rust. It has also received a new paint job ofcourse. As I am on a fairly tight budget (seeming I bought a 2+2 and all, it should be obvoius...) I decided to go with the original color code for painting.
The car came out beautifully! (i just wanna touch ittt.......)
Anyway, I dropped $5500 at the panel beaters for the result.
Now, it was time for mechanical work. Now my old man gave me a lot of bullshiver saying that I should've taken it to the mechanics beforehand taking it to the panel beaters... He is right to a certain degree.
I had the car towed down to a local mechanic whom as soon as the vehicle arrived in his factory, he spat the dummy and cried saying "The car's full of rust, the engine water pipes are rusted, the interior is rubbish, its going to take $6000 to fix the interior on its own, yadda yadda yadda" (Yes he's a Turk lazy con doofus who i'd love to slap). As soon as he was finished saying what he had to say, I hung up the phone, called my old man to organise a tow truck (Yes he keeps pestering me to call him for anything related to tow trucks, apparantly he know the best ones "pfff"), I called and spoke with Daniel who is also known as "Dazzed" on these forums and got it towed to his place.
Dazzed upon receiving the vehicle and quickly analysing it, called me and gave a rough appraisal of $4-$6000 to fix and prep the car for a RWC. I can imagine the condition the car would be after Dazzed does his magic, but unfortunately I just do not have that amount of funds at this stage

So, I have requested from Dazzed to only get the engine running for the time being.
Once the engine is running, I plan to work on the interior, brakes and electronics with a friend and myself.
I guess it all is part of the fun in restoring a Z eh, but I had no idea it would be roughly 10K (and if I did, I probably would have done the right thing and purchased a 2-Seater)
**I will post pictures up as soon as I visit Dazzed tomorrow and take some**
Now everyone knows the secret life of 53-681!
I love you all and good night

They look like Jag Su's on the red zed.
Indeed you were correct Scoota! They are Jaguar SU's! Damn you guys have sharp eyes to determine parts via a 640x480 photo

Are the jag su's any good?
