S30 Gearbox Mounts

Hey guys,

Saw someone mention that a sticky on this topic would be useful so here it is. I've stolen the posts from a wanted thread to fill out this one. I'd appreciate any other contributions for different years' mounts that we don't have pictures of yet.

Cheers,

Steve

My car in a 3/72 build. It came with no motor or gearbox but a few boxes of assorted items. This looks like the gearbox cross-member (Edit: This is the early 240z auto transmission cross member) and I've included a photo of the body mounts before I cut them off.

MMM
Peter that one is different again to the stock vert bolt up i have ie a 3/71,
exact tunnel as pictured, but the oem item is very different, ill try get a pic & share any how.
Its info like this that needs a sticky, ie the difference of said items along the years, ie
'check out my ......' model year liklyhood of being altered along the way scale.

Your mount looks like a transition mount from the tunnel as pictured to the later style long bolts from front to back ie the later 'ear' type mounts,
My oem item is only a '1-piece'.

Can anyone add more info to this? Perhaps pictures of their gearbox mounts and car years? Thanks!

The pic of the different cross member is for a 240z early shell with the mounts on the body as shown but not the manual that is the auto cross member :)

I didn't take any photos of the mounts before I cut them off, but here is a shot of the crossmember from an 1976 (Nov build) 260z 2+2. (top crossmember in each photo)
