Identifying a Distributor
« on: September 01, 2010, 09:39:47 PM »
Hi All,

I need some help identifying what Distributor I may have and or what car it came from?
The car is a Australian 260z with an L26. The Previous owner has told me that sometimes he gets
some parts from the States.

Tried to swap over the cap, rotor and points with standard 260z bosch items but managed to find out three things.
1. The new cap too small
2. The rotor doesnt fit and looks different to the one on the car
3. I have found out I have a Pertronix Igniter already installed yay bonus!

Currrently doing some research to see what I can find,
Possible 280zx Dizzy? Or even a 280z one?

Here are some pics I tried to get of the details that were on it.

Cheers.
Ray

+1 - hard to tell from those numbers on the body, although someone with a parts manual may be able to decipher them.

If you google the numbers on teh side of the dizzy you should come up with something - that's how i did mine.
