OK I have a spare few elec dissys,

I need one sorted out to suit my turbo setup, as advance on boost is bad!

I have asked a few other workshops and they evidently have NFI what Im on about (well they are kind of right)

So I need to send it to someone, then they weld the weights, then send it back, in return I will send cash/beer/woolworths voucher etc.

Oh and it needs to be done THIS WEEK, as I have the dyno booked in for this Saturday !!!!

In Canberra.... let me know if you can help!

Isn't the material the advance wheel is made of brass?
If it's steel I could do it but you wouldn't even get it to me by Saturday.

Not possible to cable tie the weights into place so they can't advance the timing?  Thats all I did with my Rangie dizzy to give timing control to the ECU....

Or do you only want to limit the advance, not remove it completely?

Well initially I will be only running a max of 8psi, then when I upgrade to the Wold 3d V4x I will use the L28et optical CAS type dissy....

so as for the cable tie idea.... starts methinking more. Cheers for the tip!

Why dont you use the mechanical advance with a total of around 28 degrees, and fit a vacuum advance retard unit, so under boost it retards the timing and off  boost gives both mechanical and vacuum advance driveability

You need to remove the shaft from the dizzy to weld up the mechanical advance IIRC. It's all steel, no brass involved.

It's been over 2 years since I did mine and have since swapped to DIS, but I still have that dizzy kicking around.

It wouldn't be anywhere near you by Saturday, unless you spent ungodly amounts of money on shipping to get it there, since I'm halfway around the world. LOL
