EOI: 2011 Workhop Day
« on: August 28, 2010, 04:16:11 PM »
Just sussing this out for a 2011 Autumn 'Workshop Day' as per the last event we ran here.
Perferably sticking to one subject.
Does anyone have any opinions on what they'd like to see done?
Rust repair?
Panel forming?
Brake upgrades?
Suspension upgrades?

Opinions please?!

Maybe repairs in this area.

I have a little rust that may be repaired  ::)

I would love to see Suspension and brake upgrade.

Maybe a 5 speed conversion!

rust repair of floor pan would be cool
but rear end squating and exhaust scraping while the front is lifted closer to the sky, and me waving bye bye.

Nice work Lurchos  8)

A brake upgrade day would be good. Ideally it would be good to see a variety of options and how they were done (ie wilwoods, 280zx/maxima, hilux, r31 etc) but this would obviously be dependant on the participants.

I have a set of r31 brackets for the rear and some hilux calipers for the front that I'm probably gonna put on my daily driver but obviously my z isn't in Melbourne ;)

Funny, cos I was just saying to Benny last week that I have an engine ready to put back together and it would make a great "day" for those interested. L28 on a budget. F54, N42, STD flattop pistons, lumpy cam, crow springs, etc.
Thought mixing it up would be good, panels were done last time. Let's do some go fast goodies  ;D
So, who's prepared to run the class?

Scoota, you forgot the 'before' pic... Doesn't look like you did anything to that section  :)

I'd be interested in just about anything, these days are worth their weight in gold. Really interested in any panelwork sessions, but also in Simon's engine rebuild day. Suppose it depends on where people are in their projects, the last session was great for those beginning their project, maybe aim for something for those who have already 'sorted' out their shells?

Maybe start a poll on where people are in their project and then work from there?

Cheers.
