Adelaide 240z car clubs
nomisg:
Have been searching the boards and the web to find the clubs I can look to join in Adelaide.
I have seen the following : http://www.nissandatsuncarclubsa.com/
I this the only option in Adelaide for a 240z owner?
I want to keep to the following rules http://www.sa.gov.au/subject/Transport,+travel+and+motoring/Motoring/Vehicles+and+registration/Motor+vehicle+types+and+specifications/Historic+and+left-hand+drive+vehicles and hence I need to get to know the "authorised official of the recognised motor vehicle club" before I start jumping in and get a 240z that may be to modified?
zzzzed:
www.thezgarage.com is Adelaide based
Mr Camouflage:
Yeah but its a website, not a "real" car club.

I think the OP was looking for a registered car club, not a forum.

The Nissan Datsun club is a great place to start, they have regular meetings and run their own motorkhana's etc and have an active membership but I don't believe they are a registered club with Transport SA for the historic vehicle scheme.
Try the Sporting Car Club of SA www.sportingcarclubsa.org.au not the cheapest club in town but they are registered for historic vehicle rego.
To comply with this scheme your car will need to be stock standard ie original engine etc or they will knock you back. They would not allow my otherwise standard 240z to be registered with an L28.
