works well in safari 4 , sunrise and firefox. I think the wider forum looks better because most people have widescreen based laptops and/or monitors. and as such get used to having their monitors filled with information. I certainly like the new direction that is for sure.
These cars are so much fun.

I preferred the version before this one

Was it specifically the page width you preferred or other design elements like the buttons, colours etc..?

well the latest changes make it hard to read when you click on the "Show unread posts since last visit" which I use all the time :( by latest I mean whatever happened overnight with the theme change - it was ok the other day when nice and wide and after the first upgrade/change.

Mike can you elaborate on what you mean by hard to read? I've attached the "show unread posts since last visit". To me however it looks fine.

Just a reminder also it might be a good idea to use a hard refresh (shift+F5) to make sure your browser updates its cache to the latest version of the forum theme. Otherwise you might get strange results.

I like the new design and the new layout is perfect for me :)

I used to use the new posts/threads thing as well, the one that just listed the threads in order of the most recent post. Other than that it's looking great :)

I agree, but Gav is it possible to put the posts/threads like it was before at the bottom of the page?

P.S thanks for all you do Gav without it we would just be a loose band of redneck Zed lovers but with the forum we are a highly organised band of redneck Zed lovers! ;D

My work computer has IE 6 and sometimes the headings and stuff overlap each other, see attached pic.

Works fine on firefox at home.

+1
I actually find it harder to read in this current layout, colour scheme may add to this.
The width is an improvement from the original though.

Yay. Relative width FTW  8)

Maybe you could reduce the margins too. Maybe half the size they are now.

Yes looks like that but if you have a lot on the screen the lighter colour I guess was just making it hard to tell them a part ie it looked a little buzy - however I have gotten used to it now :) I guess it is background and the line dividing each entry is almost the same colour and make it hard to ID each separate line

Yeah I think there is a clear float issue I'll need to look into this.

Also I got the 15 latest forum posts working on the forum index again.

Will see what I can do about the margins etc..

It took you 24 hours to come up with that? I don't even think it makes sense ;) Also transferred that money today, forgot about it :S. But this is a conversation we can have elsewhere...
