As I trawl through my old photo archives I'll post up any Zeds I find. Here's one I spotted on the freeway around Fukushima

Not a Zed, but I'm sure anyone here would appreciate it. This Toyota 2000GT belongs to one of my suppliers in Okayama. You can't tell in this pic but it has a rollcage and harnesses as he uses it in historic racing

Not Japan... but I couldn't think where else to put it. This is my old 240Z, which I sold to a guy in the UK. It has been in a few magazines there including this article in J-tuner.

That bloke in the first photo would so get the japanese ladies in that Zed. Those rims don't look large in diameter but very effective.

Like that first pic too...looks like a growing trend to have the wipers "parked" vertically rather than the usual spot for what I think is aerodynamic reasons? Can't get used to that!
HS30-00121 'early girl' .........Me love zeds long time..

Here are some pics of the famous Safari Rally zed at a show in Odaiba, plus a genuine 240ZG. One of my contributors sent me these for my interest back in my magazine days... can't remember which one  :-[

Hey guys, The navigator who won the East Africa rally in 1973 in a 240z lives in Towoomba. His name is Lofty Drews. He still holds a place in his heart for the old dattos (zeds, 1600s and 180Bs) He still gets back over there every year and in fact he could be the only person who has participated every year. He is a genuine character.

I don't think the zed in the pic is the car he won in (his hit a tree and lost one headlight) I think I have some pics of it somewhere. I'll check when I get home.

This is the car that won the 1971 event. Text from Zhome.com:
In its first entry in the 19th East African Safari Rally (1971) the Datsun 240Z won the Over-all Victory, Class Victory, Team Victory and Manufactures Championship. This victory also set new records as NISSAN became the first company to win back to back Victories in all three categories! (the Datsun 1600SSS Team having done the same in 1970). The driving team of Edgar Herrmann / Hans Schuller also became the first team to win back to back over-all victories! Another significant note is that the Datsun 240Z was the first vehicle to capture an Over-all victory in its first year of competition!

Well someone has got to populate Japan! If it takes a Z to fix the problem so be it haha.

Have you ever made it there for a 'ride' day? Says you cant drive them if you dont have a japanese license and cant speak japanese :( Still im going to try this time.
Hint for anyone going to Megaweb go on a Sunday...
