S30 Factory Service Manual: Scanned
« on: May 17, 2009, 02:12:33 AM »
The factory service manual goes into a lot more detail than the Haynes manual and was used by Nissan Mechanics to service and repair the S30 series. These manuals can be difficult to obtain and John Ovcaric has kindly taken the time to put this together. If you find this useful please let us know and we will do our best to get the the whole series uploaded.

*Note Please don't hotlink to this file. Rather link to this thread from other forums. If people abuse this policy I may have to block any hot linking to this file from the server.

Hot linking can use alot of bandwidth and our hosting account does have a limit on bandwidth every month. Although we usually stay well under this limit its possible that large files like this will cause our bandwidth usage to sky rocket.

Is this what they look like? I bought this one in Ballarat years ago, cost $90.

Hi All,

John here, I was just thinking, considering it would be a good thing to have a library containing such things as an electronic copy of the manual I have supplied the first section of, along with other important doc's etc etc etc, would it be a better idea to actually start a Yahoo group that allows us to post 100G plus of files that club members can access?

This way you would need to be a bonified member of this forum and be grantaed access by the moderators in the first place and here we could store all the technical data and files any member would want and could access at any time?

Gav Im happy to set it up.

Cheers

John

Would you be happy moderating it? I think if we had a thread set up where if you want access you post on the thread and all you have to do is check to see that a person has made a post on the thread before enabling their account. Just a thought.

As long as their is no account limits for google groups should be sweet.

Steve,

I just finished setting up the group page, it's address is

http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/Auszcar

But in all fairness, until Gavin and the other forum moderators say it's OK to go ahead, it will remain inactive, Im more than happy to be a moderator of that site and all you will be able to do there is become a member of the site and download technical data from the library, NO POSTING or uploading!

If the moderators on this site are all cool with that then we can open it up to the general forum here.

There would be an invitation sent out to all current members on this forum to join the site which would then allow you auto access.

General surfers on the net wouldn't be able to access it.

If this all sounds good, and the moderators here agree, then we can open the doors, otherwise I will close the site and de-commission it.

Cheers

John

that's an awesome contribution to the zed community. i myself don't have enough knowledge on the zed's to make a contribution, so i thought it best that i voice my appreciation to those for the effort and knowledge.

Cheers mate.

Linking directly to the file from other forums as oppose to this thread. That way users on another forum can just download the file without visiting the site first.

Gavin, why don't you make a registered forums users only thread for this type of stuff. That way only forums members can download it, and others cant hotlink to it either, nor download it.

Hi mate, to be honest I'd rather try and keep everything on this site if possible. What did you mean by 100g plus of files?

Currently the site has some limitations in terms of size of file uploads. However when I finally launch the new site (no idea when that will be done yet) it should be easier to do this kind of thing.

I'm happy to upload them as you roll them out.

As Mr C says above I might just make a private thread / board where only members can access it.

Good suggestion, I might do something like that. Will see how popular it is and who's downloading it. If there's a problem with abuse I'll restrict it.

Gav
7 meg for 28 pages is massive !!
I downloaded the same full engine tuning manual last year from another site, and the same 28 pages where 3.9meg.
There is software which allows pdf compression, it may help.
