260z 2+2 bus
« on: January 10, 2009, 08:43:13 PM »
I've been a member on here for a while thought I'd finally post my 1976 260z 2+2. And I know the wheels big no no, I'm currently saving for a new set, unfortunately the funds having been going else where - wedding, saving for house, usual stuff.

Basic run down on whats been done:
Engine: L28ET 1.5mm head gasket, ARP Studs, IHI Turbo off an RX3 race car not exactly sure of size but does job, Haltec E6X fuel and ignition, haltec was controlling the boost but the solenoid died so I now run an E-Boost 2, 550cc injectors, Motec fuel rail, Bosch 044 fuel pump, 600x300x76 intercooler. Thats about the main stuff.
Anyways all that gear is currently good enough for 211.9kw atw on 15psi and a stack of torque.

Everything else on the car is pretty much like everyones on here. Usual Hilux caliper upgrade up front, DBA slotted and drilled rotors. All the bushes have been replaced with Nolethane items, Whiteline front and rear sway bars.

The plan for the car was just a nice quick street car, with maybe the odd track day here and there. Look forward to taking it out with a few of the other Brisbane members on here. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Cheers

Very nice looking Z, the colour really suits it.  Impressive performance figures too without being overly expensive to setup?

Looks nice. Shame it's not here in Vic where we could see it on a cruise.

Looks really good. What type of fuel were you using for those figures?

Just using BP Ultimate...... Was tuned by APC in Brisbane Underwood. Idles and drives just like a standard car, except when you put your foot down.

Thats some great figures you have there (oh and the car too :D, jj), you should throw it on a dyno and get a torque read out, i reckon it would be pumping out some wicked figures there.

The colour and the black bonnet looks great (I'll have to keep that in mind)
The wheels are a very personal choice and are fine :-\.
The engine figures are very very nice, and an agressive air dam to match.
All adds up to a nice unit.

and then you fit the cheapest Hella box trailer indicators...sorry ???
