I forgot to mention that I was carrying a bike, clothes, a couple bags, a few smaller boxes and one larger box labelled, "LJR 260Z Parts".

Thats pretty good economy.
Last time I went to Winton, I got about 40L per 100km  ;D (no joke)
Running a little rich there haha.  I was really surprised when I crunched the numbers.  I guess driving through relatively flat country right after having a tune-up does help though.

Was that a Manual or Auto girlie type gearbox  ;D
Pssh, auto...definitely a MANual (for manly men ;D)

 thats the link,
I put in 40 on the top right, KM/Litre and got 112.MPG. thats imperial, 94 US MPG I think
Thanks for the link, 9.2L/100KM works out to be 25.98MPG (Imp) or 21.63MPG (US)

I'm running a pretty mild cam, 2800cc L28, but 45mm Webers with a 4.4 diff. Usual course of events with the diff is requirement to rev to 4000+ between gear changes just to make the car actually move above a snails pace on the road.

18L/100km

On the race track it's 80L/100km   :o
I tried to convert your track economy using the TDI Club link: "L/100KM field has invalid data: 80 not in range" ???

Ahh that makes more sense, I thought you meant you got 40L/100K driving to Winton.
