How to post & resize images on Auszcar.com

Auszcar.com Requires that images conform to certain image dimensions and file size before being uploaded. This is due to server space limitations and the width of the websites layout.

Attaching an image to a forum thread:
Image dimensions should be less than 800px. Ideally 750px wide at the most.
Image size should be less than 256kb.

Suggested Format: 
Using JPEG image format for images taken with a digital camera ie: photographs.
Use GIF images for basic images such as wiring diagrams and factory service manuals or any scanned text.

Uploading Images to the Gallery

Suggested Format: 
Image size for the gallery should be less than 2000 KB
Image dimension (width) should be less than 1000px wide.


How to resize your image files? http://picasa.google.com/

Google Picasa offers many abilities of programs such as photoshop, but is absolutely free. I recommend it for 2 reasons.

1. Its free and easy to use.
2. I work for Google and we make great software (but you already knew that )

*********** Adding Images to the Gallery **************

Step 1. - Create an album using the create gallery button.

Step 2. - Name your album and save it (think of it as a folder to place your images in).

Step 3. - Click the upload file link (see screenshot) You will be prompted to upload your images. Once you save have completed uploading the images you will be prompted to add a description and tell the Gallery what album you want to place the upload into.

Step 4. - That should be it, I'll update this post if people still need further help.
