Technical Articals.
« on: April 20, 2008, 01:53:12 PM »
Hi Guys,

For some time we have been thinking about building up our technical articals section on the front page. We hope to entice members to contribute with a prize of a Z clock for each useful artical and if possible photo.

Please list common technical issues you would like to see on the front page. I have started with a few I can think of.

1. Hilux front caliper upgrade info.
2. Rear disc upgrade.
3. Auto to manual conversion.
4. H4 front light upgrade.
5. Tuning SU carbs.
6. Installing tripple carbs.
7. Coil over installations.

Sulio

1. buyers guide sort of thing with common rust areas and issues what you should look for etc.
2. gotchas and fixes eg the ford v6 valve seals being a better fit and option to the datsun versions.

About it for now.

Not that i am putting up my hand up here or anything like that.
These cars are so much fun.

-front diff mount restraint , just link to hybridz or the zgarage, very useful.
- gearbox conversion in detail with what does/doesnt swap over ie fj/sr/rb boxes and the l series front casing.

- Transplanting r33 interior into a Zed. *probably an impossible article*
Interior such as dash, seats and center console.

- R200 diff conversion for each model-era cars. If possible include the new shortnose r200 conversion apparently being finalized by arizonazcar.

I'm currently doing my 280ZX rear disc brake conversion.

Stay tuned for a step-by-step guide with pics...
