So which Zed is the silver one with the orange stripes, is that Allan Fielding? That thing is meant to have had over 100k work done to it, but it doesnt seem to have done that as well as I thought it would. Where did the money go?

Good to see you up there craig, is that a relative of yours in there too?

Nope, thats Gavin Strongmans old car,

it is now owned by vince harlor (sydney), he also has the RB25DET (No399) 240z that took out the Nats in 2005.

He had both cars there on the weekend.

The RB car had an extensive write up in Fast Fours July 2004.

Think you will find that the 260z (orange strip) would have been quicker if Gavin was still driving it, Vince I think is more interested in having a good time rather than ultimate speed.

You are spot on Dale. I don't think Gavin ever got that car under 1.58 at the Island. I think he spent around 15K on the motor and sold it soon afterr when he realised he was never going to catch a few of the other Zeds on the track. Mind you he should now with that GTR. Remember usually the fastest is the one with the most cash. But his old silver Zed looked great but was never a world beater.
