Saw these today. As an ex WRX owner, I'm really partial to these little rockets. interested in other's opinions of the design as Subaru have a habit of stuffing it up..... having said that I quite like it although at first glance I thought it was a pumped up Nissan Murano........

The hatch back style kills it off for me, I do like the 05/06 look though with the STi add ons, this just looks tooooo Americanized.

Don't like the Monaro lights, the mr smiley happy face grille, and the back looks just like every other hatch, trying to be European styled.

What motor is in it?
Current:
'84 Range Rover, 4 inch lift, 4.6l V8, Megasquirt, Rear diff lock, 34' tyres.
'81 Alfetta GTV - 180rwhp 3.0 quadcam v6 w/GSX-R ITBs and Megasquirt.
'80 Alfetta GTV - Group S build in slow progress

I can't say I like it, I'll wait to see the final product but for me it's a no no as it is.

It just doesn't look like a performance car, it looks like a Mazda 3.

"lookings like a Mazda 3 with a bonnet scoop "

haha exactly :)

thats wat i dont get about these cars (being wrx's and skylines) sure they perform well or have monsterous power but they just have no style, they look like every other car out there. Give me an rx8, a z5 or a car made before 1980 :)

I am still impressed by the performance of the subies though, they're in a league of their own and are relatively cheap for what you get. I always say the z's are the wrx's of the 70's.

I frequent a forum with a lot of guys who own Subbies and they can't stand it. I'm glad I have the current shape.

yuk,

yes very mazda 3 with scoop!!!

i like up to the my 05's not the 06's but,

my older bro has the 04 or 05 cant remember with all the MY stuff, made then but sold as a....

The 04/05 sti isnt really that quick, as compared to other imports etc (or my now written off R6 yammy). Used to be great fun letting my bro grab a lead then winding the little yam out and sailing past him whilst on full throttle @ 200+kmh haha, needs more work to compete, but as i said before 'written off'.

But yes the 07 looks like a pig in dress up!!

I think it'll be aimed at the 36-41K mark so you can't expect some'n too flashy.

don't quote me..........but I thought this was meant to be subaru's answer to hot hatches.

yeah i heard they wanted it to look more classy etc to compete with vw gti's, although i'd have to say that it definately doesn't have the classy factor...

It looks like they must have poached some Hyundai engineers to work on that design!  :?
