wheel studs
(1/1)
Jimbo:
G,day, Was having a good squirt on THE Great Alpine Road & clunk clunk. Oh Dear I've done a diff ---- no, broken wheel stud & 2 loose wheel nuts, the heart was pumping a bit extra. Anyway got 15x7 performance rims--where is the best place to source new studs from without costing an arm & a leg. Also what length should they be & are other veh's using the same studs. thanks Boys...Jim...
Gareth. J.:
I got my new nismo ones from ebay, $20 for a full set.
Seems unusual that they both would snap, any tyre monkeis been using a rattle gun on them lately? I do mine up with a torque wrench now as they only need 60ftlb.
dat2kman:
Google NICE Products, they have online catalogue, most auto accesory shops can get them in
They do a stud in both 38 and 44 mm long. Go the 44's
Thread is 12 x 1.25 mm
I use their 75 mm ones with slip on spacets for race cars.
They also do nuts.
Jk_zeder:
What Dat2kman said, we did all these on the 240 recently.
We used the longer studs and we'll just cut them down.
