Huw Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Once again off to Japan for 12 months, this time to work with a law firm over there. Anyway, last time I just gave the car a service and left it 'as is' essentially. However, having had the pleasure of a thermostat jamming up etc....was wondering if anyone thought it worth 'laying it up' properly? Usually left with family who run it every couple of months... C.A.R. Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Leave it with me - I can run it for you every weekend Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 5, 2011 Moderators Posted December 5, 2011 I can beat that..every day if you prefer.... To store it just buy a trickle charger and leave it of till you get back...no need to start it every so often. Quote
Agno Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 If you really want to be careful about how you store your car I would drain the fuel tank and either park it on carpet patches or leave it to sit on axle stands with the suspension at full droop. 12 months should be fine just to crank it once every 3 months though.
